A'Leah Burrell

On June 28, 2008 I competed for the title of Miss Virginia's Outstanding Preteen. It was one of the best experiences of my life. We spent the entire week in Roanoke practicing, making appearances and competing in preliminaries for the pageant. On Saturday all my hard work paid off as I was announced as a top-8 semifinalist. My first goal was achieved! While I did not win the title, my wonderful friend Andolyn was crowned, I was so proud of myself and I just know the best is yet to come!!
